Finally Over

We might have been in trouble if it wasnt for Athena. She helped us hide the dead suitors bodies, and make a feast for the people. If we were found out about how we killed all those men we might be in trouble. That night after the feast I showed myself to Penelope, she couldnt believe it was me. She wouldnt even touch me she was in so much doubt. Finally when I mentioned an olive bed she recognized me. She was unbelievably happy and we made love for the first time in years. The next day my son and I rode to see my father under the darkness of Athena. It was all finally over...for now.

A new day

It was a new day, and the day that I would take my city and my wife back. Penelope decided to hold a competition, she brought out my old bow. The competiotion was for the suitors; who could string the bow and shoot it through a number of hoops. I watched in disguise as the competition went on. My son even tried, he could almost do it but I told him to stop. None of the suitors could string the bow. Eventually when no one could do it, I spoke up and asked if I could try. The suitors all laughed at me and said they would be at shame if I could do it. In one motion I strung the bow and shot it through the hoops. Everyone was stunned. Previously in the day Telemachus had hidden all the weapons and I had shown myself to my true friends, they were to help in battle. So anyway, after I shot the bow once, I started shooting arrows at the suitors. The battle began, they finally discovered who I was but it was too late. My son and I finished killing them all and my kingdom was mine once again. Now I have to see my wife.

Deception

Today for the first time in many many years, I saw my son again. I barely recognized him for he was a man now. He almost had a beard on his chin, but I am glad he didnt because that would mean my beautiful wife would re marry. When I met my son, I was still disguised as an old man, I had to pretend I was a poor begger that came from a land from a far. When my son left, Athena appeared telling me that it was time to show myself to Telemachus. When he came back I was my normal self again. He could hardly believe it, we were happy to see eachother, I explained why it took so long to get here. He then told me about the suitors and that we needed to get rid of them, I told him not to tell anyone until the time was right. We began to make a plan to eliminate the suitors, I would stay in disguise. The swine hearder came back, and I was once again an old begger. But a tough old begger at that.

Back to Ithica

I arrived to Ithica asleep, my crew left me on the beach by myself and with my treasure. At first I didnt believe I was in Ithica. Athena came to me and finnally convinced me that I was indeed in Ithica. I was overjoyed and i kissed the soil. She also explained to me that I was not to show myself yet. I would have to go into disguise in order to trick the suitors and to take back my kingdom. Athena used her goddess powers to change me into an old man and I then set off into the woods to find fellow friends. I arrived in a clearing to which i recognized as Eumaius's house. I went to him and spoke to him as a distant traveler. He explained how he had been in hiding and was waiting for his master Odysseus to arrive. I said he was a very good man to do that and that im sure he would be rewarded. I ate pigs with him and spent the night.

the people of the dead

It was late in the day when we started sailing away from circes island. I was very glad to leave that place. Circe was a strange woman. We sailed all night and into the next morning when we arrived at the island of the men of winter. We beached the ships and began preparing a pit for the sacrifice of the sheep. I had a strange feeling about this place. Suddenly ghosts started to rise up from the ground. The first person I noticed to arrive was Elpenor. He told me what had happened to him and that I should go back to the island and give him a proper burial. Next came the ghost of my mother, I had to fight her back, for some reason she was very mad at me and I was confused why she was dead. Next Tiresias arrived to warn me not to kill the cattle of the sun. More and more familiar faces came to talk, eventually my mother came again, this time she was calm and she hugged me. She explained how she died of sorrow and that Telemachus and Penelope were being tormented by the suitors. I wept for my family and for Ithica. Eventually the ghosts became too many and I ran from the place and back to my ship where I am now. It was a crazy day filled with many strange occurences.

The Songs of Sirens

The sound was undescribable, it gives you the feeling you get when you kiss the girl you want to be with for the rest of your life. It makes you want to fly towards it. The notes work together so well its like listening to a goddess of a singer. Think of the noise that makes you feel the best, and however good you fell from that, multiply that by a thousand. I could listen to the tune of the sirens for a million years and never get bored. You see the music, a gorgoues sunset over the ocean, with mountains in the background. It gives you the satisfaction, your one true love could give you and more.

A day of Women, Feast, and Hope.

Last night, when I arrived on this curious island, I was exhausted. I found a thicket and passed out. This morning I awoke to a sound of water and the sweet sound of lady laughter. As I sat up I saw the most beautiful thing. Six or more beautiful girls were bathing themselves in the nearbye stream. They were all naked. One of the girls, apparently a princess, was the most beautiful. She had long brown hair and perfect breasts. I sat there watching for a while. The girls started to play a game with a small round object, throwing it back and forth to eachother. All of a sudden one of the girls missed and the ball hit the thicket I was in, poking me with a thorn. I came out, of the bushes with an leaf over my genitals. All of the girls were frightened and fleed, except the one, the princess. I fell to my knees, begging for her kindness and bosting about her beauty. She was kind, and she let me bathe myself away from them. Afterwords she gave me directions to her fathers palace. I would not walk with the females, for it was not right.
When I arrived at the palace, King Alcinous brought me in with great pleasure and kindness. He let me eat, for I was starving. I told him of my story, how I came to this island and how I fought in the battle of Troy. I asked for his help in giving me a boat for my journey home. He decided to grant me the choice of marrying his daughter or taking one of his ships home. I was overjoyed, he gave me quarters in which to sleep in, and here I am.
